Been playing a lot of New Blood games. Mostly Ultrakill, Dusk, and Fallen Aces. Bit of Gloomwood too.
Cuz they were on sale I bought the posters for Dusk HD, Fallen Aces, and Gloomwood.

Adding onto the format war of Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD was how they were used for game consoles.
After the PS3 slim, the PS3 was basically a far more affordable Blu-Ray player AND played games. $300 base price.
The Xbox 360, with the core pack being $300 too, was gonna be more expensive if you wanted to play HD-DVDs. It was launched at $200.
Now would you rather pay $500 minimum for a game console with an external drive for your new cool disks?
Or a $300 console that has the new cool disk drive built in and can both use them for movies AND games?

God Blu-Ray is so funny to me as a thing that happened.

I got an iPod Classic 5th gen for christmas and I've been loving it so much.
My PSP was a great MP3 player but it's finicky with one hand and it's been fritzing lately.
The iPod is soooooo much better as a daily driver music player.
I got some CDs too.
Silent Hill 2 OST, American Football, The Bends by Radiohead, The Different Story by Peter Schilling, and Loveless by My Blood Valentine.
Took a while to transfer all my music over and rip the CDs. I have a little over 1050 songs.
I got one with an 120GB SSD in it. It's great. Also got a few episodes of CreepCast on it.
I also got a new PSP camera, so I can take some more photos with it. Though I really like my Canon for liminal spaces now.
Good mix of quality and all that. I prefer it. The PSP camera is great but sometimes can be a bit too grainy.
I'll use it though.
I've been playing a lot of Helldivers 2. The new update kicked ass. We absolutely were not meant to win against the Illuminate but lo and behold.
We're deffo fucked but oh well celebrate until they come back.
I don't have much to say today. But I figured I'd update this.
I've been limiting myself to buying one album per week off Amazon to save money. Yeah I can use spotifydown or something but it's just nice and easy.

Today I bought 200 KM/H In the Wrong Lane by t.A.t.u. It's been one of my favorite albums recently.
My favorite songs from it are All The Things She Said and How Soon Is Now.
It was that or The Different Story (World of Lust and Crime) by Peter Schilling. It's an excellent synth-pop album from the lates 80s.
A friend of mine is bringing his The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails CD so I can rip it for my PSP.
He's also got some other stuff I might wanna rip too.
I would've thrived in the 2000s tbh. Not saying I was "born in the wrong generation", but I would have kicked ass.
To be honest whenever I try to imagine Venom Snake from MGSV as a woman (cuz it's fun) he still looks the same.
Like the medic was a butch lesbian or something before boss-affirming surgery and they just didn't realize.
Honestly I've started interpreting the medic as a woman. It's fun and sort adds more to the general horror of Venom Snake.
Venom Snake already lost so much. His memories, his entire identity, his life. And with the idea of him being a woman, he even lost his gender.
Kinda to the point he's just a woman. To me.
It even adds to how I can interpret the story as a transgender allegory which is a whole other thing.
And also the parallels with Elster from Signalis.
But that's a story for another time. Maybe tomorrow.

Tis now Christmas season. We got our tree yesterday and began decorating. Looks pretty awesome.
I updated the liminal space page after a really great outing for photos too.
Also got a picture that night I liked to describe as "distilled Pinterest".
Honestly I want to go full nocturnal when I graduate high school.
Sleep during the day, do shit at night. That sort of thing.
I could find a job that has hours at night.
Why? I honestly just prefer the nighttime. I'm more productive at night, it's nice and quiet, all that such.
I could go to bed and wake up at times with a bit of sunlight, just so I don't miss out on vitamin D or whatever.
Best I can do for now is just stay up late and regret it the next morning.

It was just what I needed. Was nice and cool out, and was listening to Silent Hill OST, and I found out about a new Monster flavor

Also about the Texas Thespians Festival, it was really cool. Apparently Corpus Christi has the First Ever Whataburger.

I've had 2 dreams about the whole thing though. It was like themed around it, not in the actual location.
One was about me being an actor in a weird Wizard of Oz thing and the set was being harrassed by some guy who was known for ruining everything.
The other one, last night, was in a big auditorium and there was a weird DND-like game being played inspired by the game Darkwood.
And then also Stroopwafels were packeged and sold as Nutter Butters.
It's been a hot minute, lots happened. Had my Texas Thespians Festival and immediately went to the psych ward the day I got back cuz of some stuff
But that's a bit more of a private discussion. I'm largely fine now and at home.
I've gotten back into Star Wars and Elite Dangerous. Built a Commander Cody lego helmet today. Took me a few hours. Was pretty fun.
Might go for a drive later since it's nice out tonight and I haven't done that in a while.
It's pretty cold out today, for Texas at least. It still gets up to the 80s because god wants us dead. But it was pretty nice.
The other day I found my Leon Kennedy at Arby's shirt so I can wear that again. Personally I think it's the best shirt to ever grace the Earth.
I also got a Monster. Orange Dreamsicle. I will argue it's the best flavor but the sugar count would probably kill a caveman so it depends.
But then again I don't know if the sugar content itself should be in the debate about flavor (yeah it does change the taste but whatever fuck you).
I can't tell if my memories or mine or not. Like they were just put in my brain like syncing an iPod or some shit like that.
